Why Are Learning Preferences Important? โ“
Recognising and addressing learning preferences is crucial to improve retention, enhance engagement and make learning inclusive for everybody.

What Are Learning Preferences? ๐Ÿง
Learning preferences refer to the preferred ways individuals process and absorb information.

These preferences are often categorised into different learning styles, such as:
Visual Learners ๐Ÿ“Š: Prefer using images, diagrams, and spatial understanding.
Auditory Learners ๐ŸŽง: Learn best through listening to lectures, discussions, and audio materials.
Reading/Writing Learners ๐Ÿ“š: Prefer information displayed as words and benefit from reading and writing activities.
Kinesthetic Learners ๐Ÿ‘: Learn best through hands-on experiences and physical activities.

How eLearning Can Cater to Different Learning Styles ๐Ÿ“ฑ๐Ÿ’ป
I work collaboratively with my stakeholders to understand learning preferences and remind of the importance to vary the design of eLearning modules.

I design and develop my eLearning modules with Articulate Rise, being such a versatile tool, I address various learning preferences with making sure the content is digestible and display the learning in a variety of ways such as:
ยท Multimedia Content ๐ŸŽฅ - video, audio, images / galleries, links, attachments
ยท Knowledge assessment โœ๏ธ- quizzes and assessments
ยท Interactive elements โ€“ scenarios, processes, flashcards, timelines, accordions, tabs

Understanding and addressing learning preferences is not just a nice-to-have but a necessity in modern eLearning design. By recognising the diverse ways in which people learn, we can create more engaging, effective, and inclusive eLearning experiences.
